Le photographe nous plonge dans l\u2019histoire de Marseille, toute de chair et de lumi\u00e8re. Il s\u2019enivre de la vie qui en jaillit, partageant avec simplicit\u00e9 le quotidien des habitants de ces espaces \u00e0 cheval sur la ville et sur la mer. Il donne ainsi \u00e0 voir 2 600 ans d\u2019histoire et un patrimoine en pleine mutation.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir longuement travaill\u00e9 sur Jaffa, J\u00e9rusalem, Palerme et Ath\u00e8nes, Didier Ben Loulou a poursuivi dans la cit\u00e9 phoc\u00e9enne son errance qui le conduit \u00e0 arpenter les grandes villes m\u00e9diterran\u00e9ennes. Fid\u00e8le \u00e0 la d\u00e9marche qui est la sienne, il dialogue avec les lieux et leur histoire, mais aussi les enjeux d\u2019un monde en pleine mutation. La M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e est en soi un pays si charg\u00e9 de m\u00e9moire que chaque \u00e9tape est l\u2019occasion pour l\u2019auteur d\u2019y d\u00e9velopper un th\u00e8me : le sacr\u00e9, les fronti\u00e8res, l\u2019origine et l\u2019\u00e9criture \u00e0 J\u00e9rusalem ; l\u2019exil des uns, l\u2019abandon et le retour des autres \u00e0 Jaffa ; l\u2019immigration, les clandestins, les Roms et la pauvret\u00e9 \u00e0 Ath\u00e8nes ; enfin le m\u00e9tissage, les mutations, mais aussi les paysages \u00e0 Marseille. Des notes de travail du photographe jouent en contrepoint avec ses images. Avec cette nouvelle \u00e9tape \u00e0 Marseille, on comprend mieux ses obsessions face \u00e0 un monde de plus en plus fragile et \u00e0 cette condition humaine qu\u2019il ne cesse d\u2019observer.<\/p>\n
